Transfer an Account from another financial institution

It is now easier than ever to move your financial assets from another broker, bank, or mutual fund to Fair Trade Export:

What you'll need:

  • The name and account number of  your existing brokerage firm.
  • A matching account – the account type of your existing brokerage account must match with your Fair Trade Export account. If you don’t already have a matching Fair Trade Export Account, please open an account first.

This process usually takes about 5-7 business days. We will notify you by email and message box when the transfer is complete.

Note: If you are transferring from a financial institution that is not Automated Customer Account Transfer Service (ACATS) eligible, please click here to submit your request manually.


Transfer between Fair Trade Export Accounts - Internal Transfers

To move your financial assets between your Fair Trade Export accounts:

  • STEP 1: Fill and sign an Internal Transfer Form
  • STEP 2: Notary is required for third party transfers if the Fair Trade Export account entitles are different.
  • STEP 3:Online Document Upload, Email, Fax or Mail the above documents to:

    Online Document Upload: Please upload completed form via the Form Center after logging into your Fair Trade Export account, click on Customer Service -> Form Center -> Upload Form

Transfer between Fair Trade Export Accounts - IRA contribution

Transfer funds from your Cash/Margin Account to your IRA account as an IRA contribution.

  • STEP 1: Fill and sign an IRA Journal Request Form.
  • STEP 2:Online Document Upload, Email, Fax or Mail the above documents to:
